The building was constructed by Pietro Delugan in 1895 and originally served as a hotel under the same name. Schönbrunn Palace was a model for the design . During this time, Merano was a tourist highlight and hosted many guests. Among them, the then Empress Sissi of Austria-Hungary stayed in the Hotel Kaiserhof in 1897.

In 1974 the hotel was sold to the state of South Tyrol, which renovated it and from the 1975/76 school year onwards it housed the state hotel management school. The building has been a listed building since 1981.

classes

To attend the hotel management school, you must have completed the first two school classes ( biennium ) in one of the state vocational schools for the hospitality industry, e.g. B. the state vocational school for the hospitality industry Savoy or the state vocational school Emma Hellenstainer .
