The State Institute for Work Design North Rhine-Westphalia (LIA.nrw) is an institution of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . The state institute is subordinate to the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs . It is headquartered in Bochum on the NRW health campus , department 1 “Laboratory Services and Procedures” is in Düsseldorf .

The State Institute for Work Design of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (LIA.nrw) advises and supports the state government and the departments of the state occupational safety of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in questions of safety, health protection and health promotion in the working world. In addition, the institute performs safety-related tasks to protect the population.

history

The LIA.NRW is the legal successor to the State Institute for Health and Work of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia NRW (LIGA.NRW) and was established on January 1, 2012. At the end of February 2018, the institute moved its headquarters to the NRW health campus in Bochum .
