State Police Headquarters (Hesse)

The State Police Headquarters (LPP), as a department of the Hessian Ministry of the Interior and Sports, has been performing the tasks of the highest police authority since January 1, 2001. The state police president in Hesse was Udo Münch until July 14, 2020 . On July 16, 2020, the Chief of Police of the Southeast Hesse Police Department, Roland Ullmann, was introduced as the new State Police President by the Hessian Interior Minister Peter Beuth (CDU) .

Until 2001 the LPP was run as Department III in the Ministry.
