The Haifischbar was an entertainment show of the NDR television in ARD -Abendprogramm.

history

The first edition of the Haifischbar was broadcast on October 20, 1962 on ARD . For this purpose, the television studio was redesigned into the typical backdrop of a Hamburg harbor bar. The moderators of the TV show were "the landlords" Hilde Sicks and Ernst Grabbe , and Günter Lüdke regularly appeared as the "waiter" .

Each episode had a common thread that shaped the broadcasting process and mostly ended with a final punchline. Stories and songs with a maritime background formed the backbone of the entertainment series.

Numerous well-known performers and actors such as Lale Andersen , Carl Bay , Heidi Kabel , Henry Vahl , Otto Lüthje , Edgar Bessen and Freddy Quinn appeared on the show, as well as people like the then heavyweight heavyweight boxer Gerhard Zech .

Until the television show was discontinued in 1979, the singer Lolita was a regular guest. In addition to German television, the Haifischbar was also broadcast on ORF television in Austria .

As a counterpart, from 1964 to 1990 the German TV radio (DFF) produced the maritime music program Klock 8, aft Strom and broadcast it from the Rostock harbor bar .
