Life
Jonny Hill first worked as an actor after school . Here he embodied several smaller roles in the theater and was seen in a supporting role in the feature film Goodbye at the Blue Sea in 1962 . Hill was discovered as a singer by Lotar Olias , who wanted to build him up accordingly because of his Freddy Quinn- like voice. Under the pseudonym Victor he recorded the singles Love is Fire and Water and I'm Your Friend in 1968 . In northern Germany, Jonny Hill then achieved his breakthrough in October 1969 with the hit song “ Back home” . It's the back of A Heart and a Rose . Ilse Seemann presented again at home in the German hit parade of NDR 2. As a result, he immediately rose to seventh place. From there, he continued to shoot up to the top in the coming weeks, where he was able to hold out for a long time. In March 1971 he had a similarly big second success in the north with And kissing her well . In 1979 he achieved his final great success with the reputation of Teddy Bear One-Four , which earned him continued fame and popularity. This recording is a spoken text in the form of a poem, which is underlaid with music. This recording earned him a gold record . In addition to hits and Country -Titeln Hill also sings folk songs and sea shanties.
In 1989, Jonny Hill received his own TV show on RTL called Kilometer 330 . In 1992 he took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music . His title to the great freedom reached the 9th place in the German preliminary decision. The same thing happened to him in 1995 with the title Sieben Meer , which came in 12th place in the German preliminary decision. He was more successful at the Lower Saxon competition Lieder as beautiful as the north in 1993 , when he took 2nd place with Little Heroes on a Big Trip . He was also represented at the German Schlager Festival in 1998 . His title Der Regenmann took 6th place.
