The Gauliga Baden 1941/42 was the ninth season of the Gauliga Baden (officially the Baden division since 1940 ) in football . The season started on August 31, 1941 and ended on April 19, 1942. In that year the league was divided into a north and a south group with six teams each, followed by a final round with four teams. The Badischer Meister was the SV Waldhof , which suffered only one defeat - 0: 1 at VfB Mühlburg , which again came second . The subsequent final round of the German championship was held this time in knockout mode, and SV Waldhof failed here in the first round at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . The last two in the group, TSG Plankstadt and FT / SC Freiburg, and SpVgg Sandhofen had to relegate .
