Beginnings and time in the Gauliga Baden
The association was founded in 1910. In the 1919/20 season , the team took part in the Odenwald district league in the South German Championship and finished seventh at the end of the season with 14:22 points. With 12:24 points this placement could be achieved again in the season 1920/21 . Once again in the 1921/22 season, seventh place was achieved with 6:22 points. Due to this place, the team was relegated after this season.
As the winner of 1st class season I, the club was allowed to take part in the promotion round to Gauliga Baden for the first time in the 1941/42 season. There, however, the team ended up only in penultimate place with 6:14 points after ten games. In the next season , as the season winner, he was finally promoted to the Gauliga via second place in the table. In the 1943/44 season, the club then played in a war syndicate together with Phoenix Mannheim in the North Baden group . With 11: 9 points, the community finished third at the end of the season. In the last season of the Gauliga, the club still took part together with Phoenix, but the game was stopped in October 1944 and all games played so far were declared as not counted. At that time the club had two defeats with 1: 7 goals on the account.
post war period
For the 1952/53 season , the club rose to the 1st Amateur League North Baden . Due to 10:46 points and the 15th and thus last place, the team was immediately relegated after this season.
2000s until today
In the 2004/05 season, the club entered the A2 regional league and finished in 14th place with 26 points. Due to this place, the team had to compete in the district class next season, the first season there ended with 29 points in 11th place. After the 2006/07 season, the team had to relegate again due to the 15th place with 24 points. From the district class B, the team was able to rise again as champions with 81 points. The first season back in the district class A2 could then even be finished in second place, with 61 points but 19 points behind the table leader. But this should be enough to play in the district league again in the 2009/10 season. Due to the 16th place, the team immediately got out of this again. In the 2010/11 season, with second place again, the direct rise could be secured. Again back in the district league, it was only enough for 14th place, which the team had to relegate again. At the end of the following season it was also only enough for fifth place. Due to the division of the leagues and top places, the team was allowed to take part in relegation games in the following seasons, which meant that there was no subsequent promotion for a long time. Most recently, the team was only placed in the lower middle of the table and thus plays in the district class A2 Mannheim to this day .
Handball
In the 1986/87 season, the department managed to win the Baden League .
