The Gauliga Baden 1934/35 was the second season of the Gauliga Baden in football . In the preliminary round it looked like SV Waldhof would defend its title for a long time , but a series of defeats threw the Waldhöfer back before the winter break. The Gauliga season started on September 2, 1934 and ended on March 24, 1935. After local rivals VfR Mannheim had been successful 2-1 at the Waldhof, the team also secured the Gaume Championship at the end of the round. In the subsequent final round of the German championship, however , the blue-white-reds had no chance. The SV Waldhof Mannheim , defending champion and after the first round still Erstplatzierter, played a disappointing second half and finished the season at No. 4. The two newly promoted last year, the FC Germania Karlsdorf and the MFC 08 Lindenhof , ended up relegated to the last two places and rose off again.
