Country Romans

Landrömer (born August 26, 1976 in Straubing ; real name Christian Schmiedbauer ) is a German comic artist and graphic artist. His comic book series Kauboi and Kaktus and Peterchens Mondfahrt - The Comic are self-published by Landrömers Mondfähre design office. The 100-page comic book Freshwater Pirates was published by Jaja Verlag . Furthermore, Schmiedbauer is the artistic director of the child participation project Logi-Fox - Augsburger Kinderzeitung, which was awarded by the German Children's Fund , and workshop instructor in the field of design at the Augsburg State College .

Life

Landrömer works in Augsburg , he grew up in Straßkirchen in Lower Bavaria . After studying graphic design at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and the ISIA Urbino, he worked as a designer in an advertising agency before setting up his own lunar module design office .

comics

Landrömer created the comic series Kauboi and Kaktus , which is about the friendship between a laconic skeleton and his lovable prickly companion Kaktus. The two roam deserts, white water and wonderland and have to master dangerous adventures.

With his comic version of Peterchens Mondfahrt , Landrömer adapted a classic of children's and youth literature. In the comic, Maikäfer Sumsemann's leg is stolen from the man in the moon . Together with the siblings Anni and Peterchen, the beetle starts a trip to the moon in order to get the stolen leg back from there. On this mission, the trio encounter bizarre characters, such as the tired sandman , the constellation Great Bear and, ultimately, the man in the moon .
