The Lands-End Nunatakker are two nunatakkers in the Queen Maud Mountains of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . They tower 3 km north-northwest of Airdrop Peak at the north end of Ebony Ridge . On the eastern flank of the mouth of the Beardmore Glacier in the Ross Ice Shelf, they mark the northern foothills of the Commonwealth Range on the Shackleton Coast .
The descriptive naming by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1970 was based on a proposal by geologist John Gunner from the Institute for Polar Research at Ohio State University , who carried out geological investigations on January 16, 1970 together with the German-born glaciologist Henry H.
