The constituency of Hanover-Northwest was a constituency for the election of the Lower Saxony state parliament . It was formed in 1974 from constituency 2 Hanover-Nordstadt and last until the state elections in 2008 comprised the city of Hanover with the districts of Burg , Hainholz , Isernhagen-Süd , Ledeburg , Leinhausen , Marienwerder , Nordhafen , Sahlkamp , Stöcken , Vahrenheide , Vinnhorst , Brink- Harbor and the northern part of Bothfeld (Hartenbrakenstrasse district).
After the 2003 election , the state electoral districts in Lower Saxony were redistributed. The constituency 33 was mainly incorporated into the enlarged Landtag constituency 26 Hannover-Linden . The districts of Isernhagen-Süd , Sahlkamp and the northern part of Bothfeld were spun off to form the enlarged Landtag electoral district 25 Hanover-Buchholz .
