Lankshausen

Lankshausen is a deserted area in the district of Altenahr in the district of Ahrweiler ( Rhineland-Palatinate ).

Geographical location

The place was on a high plateau at an altitude of 360  m above sea level. NHN in today's forest district "Auf Lankshausen" between the places Altenahr , Mayschoss and Kalenborn .

history

In the Middle Ages Lankshausen belonged to Altenahr . The name ... hausen suggests that the hamlet was founded in Franconia in the 5th to 7th centuries. It is not known when the place fell into desolation.

The settlement

The settlement probably only consisted of a few individual homesteads. It can be assumed that it was not a classic place.
