Emergence

In September 2017, the game software developer KLab and the media company Kadokawa announced a joint project, which at that time had the working title Project PARALLEL . A 12-part anime television series was announced in late 2019. The anime is created in the Studio Yokohama Animation Laboratory under the direction of Hiroyuki Hata. The character design was created by Taro Ikegami while the music was composed by Satoshi Hōno. Lapis Re: LIGHT's stars sing the opening credits with Watashi-tachi no Startrail ; LIGHTs with Planetarium the piece in the credits. The series kicked off on Japanese television on July 4, 2020.

The project's first music album was released on February 5, 2020.
