Comic Dengeki Daiō
Comic Dengeki Daiō ( Japanese 月刊 コ ミ ッ ク 電 撃 大王 ) is a Japanese manga magazine aimed at adult manga fans ( otakus ).
The magazine is published monthly by ASCII Media Works- Verlag at a price of 680 yen . The main part of the magazine is made up of various chapters of manga series and manga short stories. These are often adaptations of popular anime series or video games; comedy manga like Azumanga Daioh are also included.
When it was founded in 1994, Dengeki Daiō appeared quarterly with Kadokawa Shoten . It was later published by the newly founded Media Works publishing house . In 2005 the magazine had a circulation of 250,000 copies per issue. In 2008, Media Works and ASCII merged to form ASCII Media Works, which has since published the magazine.
