Larissa Cain

Larissa Cain (* as Larissa Sztorchein, October 8, 1932 in Sosnowiec , Poland ) is a Polish-French dentist and Holocaust survivor.

Life

Larissa Sztorchein was imprisoned with her parents in the Warsaw ghetto during the German occupation of Poland . She escaped from the ghetto in 1942 and survived the persecution in Warsaw , while her parents and most of her relatives were murdered by the Germans.

In 1946 she emigrated to France . Larissa Cain worked there as an oral surgeon after completing a corresponding training . Since the 1970s she was an active member of the Fils et filles de déportés juifs de France (FFDJF) and at the beginning of 1980 she joined the trip organized by Serge Klarsfeld to the trial dates of the Cologne Lischka Trial .

After the end of her active professional life, she began to work as an author and contemporary witness.
