Laurence Snow "Larry" Damon (born December 8, 1933 in Burlington ) is a former American cross-country skier , biathlete and athlete . He took part in four Winter Olympics.

Larry Damon studied at the University of Vermont , for whose winter sports team UVM Outing Club he also participated and from which he graduated in 1955. He then moved to the US military, for which he was active as a sports soldier . In Cortina d'Ampezzo he first took part in the Winter Olympics in 1956 and finished 51st place over 15 kilometers in cross-country skiing and was 12th in the relay race with Theodore Farwell Jr. , Mack Miller and Marvin Crawford . Towards the end of the 1950s, he switched as Soldier in the biathlon squad. At the 1960 Olympic Games in Squaw Valley , Damon took part in the first ever Olympic biathlon individual and was the worst of the four US starters 24th of the 30 biathletes. After the Games, he switched back to cross-country skiing and in 1961 won the US championship over 15 and 30 kilometers. At the Boston Marathon in 1960, he finished tenth (two hours and 34:05 minutes). In Innsbruck Damon took part again in 1964 in the Olympic Games in cross-country skiing. Over 30 kilometers, he reached 46th place and finished 28th over 50 kilometers. For the fourth and final time, the American competed in Grenoble at the 1968 Olympic Games . Damon came 55th over 15 kilometers and 32nd over 50 kilometers.

Damon is married to the Norwegian Olympic champion Babben Enger . He lived with her for a short time in Norway before the couple moved to Stowe , Vermont , where he worked as a ski instructor for the Trapp family guest house .
