Lars-Erik Larsson (born May 15, 1908 in Åkarp , Burlöv municipality , Sweden , † December 27, 1986 in Helsingborg ) was a Swedish composer , conductor and music teacher .

Life

Lars-Erik Larsson studied music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm from 1925 to 1929, including with Ernst Henrik Ellberg in composition and Olallo Morales in conducting. He continued his studies in 1929/30 with Alban Berg in Vienna and Fritz Reuter in Leipzig. From 1937 to 1954 he worked regularly as a conductor, composer and producer for the Swedish radio . He was a composition professor at the Stockholm Conservatory from 1947 to 1959. From 1961 to 1965, he was director of music at Uppsala University .
