Director musices
Musical director , Greek - Latin for music director , was a title of music director especially at European universities or cathedrals , sometimes at cathedral schools . The title is still in use at universities in Sweden today. In Finland , the title refers to an honorary award given by the government.
Today Directores musices are primarily responsible for the music at a university and are choir - and / or orchestra - conductor .
