Lars Kordetzky
Lars Kordetzky (* 1967 in Zug ) is a Swiss architect and visual artist (experimental architecture).
life and work
Kordetzky completed his architecture studies in 1994 at the ETH Zurich . He was President of the Young Art Forum, is a member of the Research Institute for Experimental Architecture and teaches architecture and design at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Department of Architecture, Wood and Construction . Architectural projects, objects, drawings, photographs and installations emerged from his work on the border between architecture and art. He participated in group exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Luzern , the Kunsthalle Luzern and the Badischer Kunstverein Karlsruhe and gave lectures at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Vico Morcote and at the Lund Institute of Technology . He was awarded a prize for fine and applied arts by the Canton of Zug in 1998 and 2001, and a scholarship in New York City in 2004. Kordetzky lives and works in Zug .
In his 2001 work, Sequences: saw only the moon , he created an architectural encounter with the psyche by intervening in a solitary cell at the Zugersee Psychiatric Clinic . In his work Transient sedimentation from 2006 he deals with human geographic units - human settlements, cities, (migration) movements - that condense, change and dissolve again.
In 2018 he did the retrospective of Godi Hoffmann in Stansstad with Ursula Bossard and Silvia Felber .
