Lars Oostveen

Lars Oostveen (born September 6, 1976 in Heiloo , Netherlands ), also known by his stage name Lawrence Ray, is a Dutch presenter, actor and producer.

Oostveen studied at the Hoger economisch en administratief onderwijs and the Nyenrode University of Economics in the Netherlands and the Mountview Academy of Theater Arts in London.

He first gained fame as a video jockey at MTV Europe from 1996 to 1999, where he interviewed prominent musicians. In the Dutch soap opera Lotte, which, like Verliebt in Berlin, was an adaptation of the Colombian production Yo soy Betty, la fea ( German : " I am Betty, the ugly "), he played the leading role of Vico Maesland in 235 episodes. He presented several productions on Dutch radio and television as well as on the Discovery Channel .

In the German-speaking countries he appeared in the film The Discovery of Heaven in the role of a reporter and in the ZDF television film Dresden as Paul Slater. He had a few guest appearances in the soap opera Unter uns .

Oostveen is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish, German, French and Italian, which has earned him appearances on school television. In the language course series extr @ he played the role of the American Sam Scott in the French, German and Spanish versions. The series, which also exists in an English version, has been broadcast on SWR , NDR , WDR and BR-alpha / ARD-alpha since 2004, and occasionally on Swiss and Austrian television and in many European countries.
