The Gmina Bojanowo [ bɔja'nɔvɔ ] is an urban-and-rural municipality in Powiat Rawicki in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Bojanowo ) with about 2900 inhabitants.
geography
The community lies in the south of the province and is bordered to the south and west by the Province of Lower Silesia . The capital of the voivodeship, Poznan, is about 80 kilometers north, Leszno (Lissa) about 20 kilometers northwest and Wroclaw 70 kilometers south. The district town of Rawicz (Rawitsch) is five kilometers away. Neighboring municipalities in the Greater Poland Voivodeship are the municipalities of Rydzyna in the north, Poniec in the northeast, Miejska Górka and Rawicz in the southeast, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship the municipalities Wąsosz in the south and Góra (Guhrau) in the west.
The border between the Prussian provinces of Posen and Silesia ran through the western part of the municipality until 1919.
The 35 kilometer long Masłówka, a tributary of the Orla (Horle) , is one of the rivers .
The community has an area of 123.5 km², 73 percent of which is used for agriculture and 18 percent for forestry.
history
The largest part of the municipality, interrupted by the German occupation in World War II , belonged to the Poznan Voivodeship from 1919 to 1975, with varying degrees. Bojanowo was after the invasion of Poland in Schmückert renamed. - The German minority was expelled after the World War .
The western part of the municipality with the places Geischen, Klein Saul, Porlewitz, Saborwitz (Waffendorf) and Zechen belonged to the district of Guhrau in Silesia until 1945 . Triebusch came from Silesia to Poland through the Treaty of Versailles in 1920.
The rural community of Bojanowo was dissolved in 1954 and transformed into various gromadas . From these, the rural community was re-formed on January 1, 1973. From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Leszno Voivodeship . The powiat was dissolved during this time. City and rural municipality Bojanowo were merged in 1990/1991 to form urban and rural municipality. Since 1999 this has belonged to the Greater Poland Voivodeship and to the re-established Powiat Rawicki.

traffic
The expressway S5 ( E 261 ) leads from Poznan in the north via Leszno (Lissa) and Bojanowo to Rawicz (Rawitsch) , Żmigród (Trachenberg) and Breslau as well as the national road DK5 on to the Czech border at Lubawka (Liebau) . The DW309 voivodship road runs roughly parallel to the expressway to Leszno.
Bojanowo has a train station on the railway line from Poznan to Wroclaw .
The nearest international airport is Wroclaw .
