The Gmina Góra [ ˈgura ] is an urban-and-rural municipality in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . The city of Góra ( German Guhrau ) is the seat of the powiat Górowski and has about 13,000 inhabitants.

geography

The municipality has an area of ​​268.74 km² and is located in Lower Silesia , about thirty kilometers east of the city of Głogów (Glogau) and ninety kilometers northwest of the Lower Silesian capital, Wroclaw .

history

From 1946 to 1975 and since 1999 Góra has been the seat of a powiat. From 1975 to 1998 the places belonged to the Leszno Voivodeship .
