history

After the once famous Bad Schönbrunn spa could no longer assert itself after the First World War , it was acquired by an association in 1929 and run by Jesuits . Fathers gave Ignatian retreats in the rooms to various social and age groups .

The requirements of the emerging adult education later showed that the home furnishings were no longer sufficient. The bath building was demolished and in its place from 1968 to 1970, under the direction of Josef Stierli , an educational house composed by the Zurich architect André M. Studer according to the harmonious construction was built. The glass windows in the chapels were made by Ferdinand Gehr . Diverse and demand-oriented religious educational opportunities gave the house a great charisma.

The facility in Bad Schönbrunn has been a listed building since 2013.
