Latri Kunda

Latri Kunda (spelling variant: Latrikunda ; name variant: Latri Kunda Yiringan Ya or Latrikunda Yiri Nganya ) is a district of the municipality of Kanifing ( English Kanifing Municipal ) in the West African state of Gambia .

The district is located in the center of the municipality and belongs to the place Serekunda . In the 1993 census, Latri Kunda was listed as a separate town with 22,902 inhabitants.

The district of Kanifing is adjacent to the northeast, the border is defined by Kairaba Avenue , which runs from the northwest to the southeast. In the south Latri Kunda is bounded by Sayerr Jobe Avenue , in the south lies Serekunda (as a district). Dippa Kunda lies to the southwest, the border is defined by several side streets. In the west lies Manjai Kunda , here the Kotu forms the border. In the northwest, Latri Kunda extends as far as the Bertil Harding Highway and borders on Bakau New Town (or Fajara ). In part, an area south of the Bertil Harding Highway is still counted as Fajara.
