Bakau New Town

Bakau New Town is a district of the municipality Kanifing ( English Kanifing Municipal ) in the West African state of Gambia .

The district is located in the north of the municipality and belongs to the place Bakau . In the 1993 census, Bakau New Town was listed as a separate town with 26,687 inhabitants.

Fajara is a large part of Bakau New Town, the boundaries are not documented.

Bakau New Town is located to the west of Bakau on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean . Old Bakau joins in the east , the border forms the Sait Matty Road . In the southeast is neighboring Old Jeshwang and in the south Kanifing , the border is defined by the Bertil Harding Highway , which runs eastward. In part, an area south of the Bertil Harding Highway is still counted as Fajara. A small piece in the southwest borders the district of Latri Kunda south of the Bertil Harding Highway . To the west is Kotu , part of Manjai Kunda , the Fajara Golf Course borders both districts.
