Laura Brioli

Laura Brioli (born December 6, 1967 in Rimini ) is an Italian opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Laura Brioli graduated from Urbino University with a degree in literature and languages . In 1995, she participated in a master class for vocal training at the Opera Modena in part to their lecturers Luciano Pavarotti was one. In 1996 Brioli attended the Accademia Rossiniana seminar under the direction of Alberto Zedda in Pesaro . This was followed by her debut at the Teatro Verdi di Sassari in the trouser role of Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro .

Brioli began her career with roles from the bel canto repertoire such as in the Rossini operas Il barbiere di Siviglia , L'italiana in Algeri , Il turco in Italia and La Cenerentola . After a few years she switched to the more dramatic subject, and now sang roles like Charlotte from Werther , the title role from Carmen , Maddalena from Rigoletto , Laura from La Gioconda , Amneris from Aida , Azucena from Il trovatore , Eboli from Don Carlos , Santuzza from the Cavalleria rusticana and Fenena from Nabucco .
