Laura Carli (actually Laura Russo ; born May 29, 1906 in Forlì ; † August 15, 2005 there ) was an Italian actress .

Life

The daughter of Messina- born Augusto Russo and Azelma Bonavita made her stage debut in 1933 with the Renzo Ricci ensemble and over the next twenty years was engaged in numerous acting troupes and in fixed theaters: Carli played with Antonio Gandusio / Dina Galli in 1934 as the first boy Actress, in 1935 as the leading actress again with Gandusio and this time Aristide Baghetti , two seasons with Ruggero Ruggeri and from 1939 to 1941 with Memo Benassi . This was followed by positions with Giulio Donadio (1942), Corrado Racca / Ernesto Calindri (1942/43), again Memo Benassi (1943/44) and at the “Stabile di Venezia” (1944/45). After the World War she appeared again alongside Donadoni (1945/46), Giulio Stival (1946/47) and Fosco Giachetti (1947/48). Carli directed her own ensemble until 1950 and the “Teatro dei Satiri” in the following season. Engagements at the “Stabili di Trieste” and in Genoa concluded this phase of her career. Carli last appeared on the theater stage in 1968 alongside Diana Torrieri in a full role in Jacinto Benavente's “La maleamata”.

The Carli's film career, which lasted from 1944 to 1961, was less remarkable; their possibilities were never exhausted in mostly insignificant supporting roles and character studies. In addition to radio engagements, occasional dubbing and acting teacher, she has had some above-average television work: comedies such as La gelosa (1955), Servi e padroni (1961) and Jack l'infallibile (1963), as well as dramatics such as Mario Landis Canne al vento (1958) ), Silverio Blasis La frana (1963) and Questa sera parla Mark Twain (1965).

From June 22, 1929, Carli was married for some time to Oddino Baccarini, with whom she has a son. Her granddaughter Maria Laura Baccarini also started her career as an actress.
