In 2014/15 Weihenmaier played at Schweriner SC and then returned to Aachen for half a season. In the first series of the 2015/16 season she was team captain for the ladies, for “personal reasons” she asked the club at the beginning of January 2016 to terminate her current contract. Afterwards she took up an engagement with the newcomer NawaRo Straubing . In summer 2016 she moved to the Czech Republic for VK Prostějov . In May 2017 Laura Emonts became Czech champion with VK Prostějov and was also the best point player in the Czech league.
