Laura Táunâjik

Laura Táunâjik Uitsatikitseq [ ˈlau̯ʁa ˈtaːˌnːaːi (k) uˌit͡sːatiˈkit͡sːɜ (q) ] (born Táunâjik ; born April 29, 1979 in Kuummiit ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Siumut ) and teacher .

Life

Laura Táunâjik visited the GUX in Nuuk . She then trained to be a teacher at Ilinniarfissuaq from 2004 to 2008 . She was only employed for a year at Tasersuup Atuarfia in Qaqortoq and then worked for a year at Tasiilami Alivarpik. From 2010 to 2014 she returned to Qaqortoq and then worked again in Tasiilaq .

She ran for the first time in 2013 in the local elections, but with only 39 votes she could not get a seat for the municipality of Kujalleq . In the 2014 parliamentary election , she received 186 votes and thus moved into Inatsisartut . In the 2017 local elections, she was also able to achieve a place on the Council of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq with 221 votes . For the general election in 2018 , she joined in again, reaching 176 votes ninth of the nine seats for the Siumut. As of September 9, 2019, she took maternity leave in the local council and parliament.

In 2014 she wrote the book Paninnguannut asaqisannut: Lailamut (German About my beloved little daughter: About Laila ) about her experiences with a severely disabled child.
