IC 5016 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is an estimated 679 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 120,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies IC 5008 and IC 5014 .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 26, 1900 .
