IC 5026 is a spiral galaxy in edge position of the Hubble type Scd in the constellation Octant in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 117 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 22, 1900 .
