IC 5012 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 279 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 17, 1904 .
