IC 5002 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Telescopium in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 204 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter. Possibly a gravitationally bound galaxy pair forms together with IC 5001 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 17, 1904 .
