Laura Valborg Aulin

Laura Valborg Aulin (born January 9, 1860 in Gävle , † March 13, 1928 in Örebro ) was a Swedish pianist and composer .

She studied piano and composition in Stockholm from 1877 to 1882. a. with Hermann Berens and Ludvig Norman , in Copenhagen in 1885 with Niels Gade and until 1887 in Paris with Benjamin Godard , Jules Massenet and Ernest Guiraud . In Stockholm she worked as a composer, pianist and music teacher. In 1903 she moved to Örebro. Her brother was the composer and conductor Tor Aulin . In addition to piano pieces and songs, she composed two string quartets (F major and E minor), organ music , orchestral and choral works.
