Me and My Pal (German Movie Title: The Fortune Hunter / Me and my friend / Playful million ) is an American Short Film - Comedy by Charley Rogers and Lloyd French from the year 1933rd

action

Through years of hard work, Oliver Hardy worked his way up to shortly before the top of an oil company. Today he is supposed to marry the daughter of the oil magnate Peter Cucumber and take over the chairmanship of the company himself. His best friend Stan is supposed to act as best man and gives him his present on the morning of the wedding: a puzzle . Stan and Ollie start straight away with the puzzle, about which they forget the time. Little by little, Ollie's butler, the taxi driver, a delivery boy with an important telegram and even a policeman join the puzzle group.

Meanwhile, Mr. Cucumber is furious at the wedding because his daughter's groom still does not show up. He makes his way to Ollie's house, where meanwhile the puzzle has been completed except for one missing piece. The policeman orders that no one is allowed to leave the room until the last part is found. The completely angry Cucumber then causes an argument, at the end of which the puzzle is destroyed. The police appear and everyone involved is arrested, except for Stan and Ollie, who managed to hide in time. Meanwhile, Ollie finds the messenger boy's telegram, which went unnoticed in the puzzle madness: he had to sell his shares in the Great International Horsecollar Corporation quickly in order to become a rich man. On the radio, however, he hears that the share has now fallen dramatically and would cost its investors a lot of money. Standing in front of the ruins of his existence, Ollie expels Stan from the house. When he finds the missing piece of the puzzle on the way out and wants to start again with the puzzle, Ollie throws him out angrily.
