Lauren Beukes (2012)

Lauren Beukes (born June 5, 1976 in Johannesburg , South Africa ) is a South African writer .

Life

Lauren Beukes studied Creative Writing at the University of Cape Town . She then worked as a freelance journalist for ten years, including two years in New York . She has been married to television director Matthew Brown since 2006. She has also lived in Cape Town with her husband and daughter since 2006 .
