Lauren Hewett

Lauren Hewett (born January 8, 1981 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actress .

Life

Hewett started working in the entertainment industry at the age of six. She took both dance and singing lessons. Her first appearance on television was in a commercial for the milk drink QUIK . At the age of 8, she played the role of Baby in the musical The Seven Little Australians .

Hewett has appeared on many youth television series. She was also able to win two of the Young Actor's Awards given by the Australian Film Institute : 1991 for the film Act of Necessity and 1993 for the television series Quer durch die Galaxie and then left . In 1999 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category Best Performance in a TV Movie / Pilot / Made for Video - Young Ensemble for the film The Echo of Thunder together with Emily Browning , Chelsea Yates and Ben Hanson .

In Germany she was best known for the role of Mera in Ocean Girl and as Kathy Morgan in Spellbinder - In the Land of the Dragon Emperor .
