Lauren Lappin (born June 26, 1984 in Anaheim , California ) is an American softball player .

Life

Lappin grew up in Anaheim and attended Loara High School . Lappin studied American studies at Stanford University until 2006. She specialized in the sport of softball, where she played in the positions of  shortstop and catcher . Lappin won the silver medal in softball with the US Olympic team at the 2008 Summer Olympics . In 2010 she joined the National Pro Fastpitch softball team for the USSSA Pride . In 2014 she joined the Pennsylvania Rebellion softball team . In 2015 she ended her career as a professional softball player. At theRoosevelt University she works as a softball coach. Lappin lives openly gay in the United States.
