Laurent Cuniot
Laurent Cuniot (* 1957 in Reims ) is a French composer, conductor and music teacher.
Laurent Cuniot first attended the conservatory in his hometown and then studied violin and chamber music at the Paris Conservatory , as well as composition and sound research with Pierre Schaeffer and Guy Reibel . In addition, he took part in Youri Simonov's master class for orchestral conducting in Miskolc. From 1978 he taught composition and new technology at the Paris Conservatory, and from 1991 to 2001 he was a professor.
Since 1985 Cuniot has been the musical director of the TM + ensemble , with which he has performed works by 20th century classics and contemporary composers such as Bernard Cavanna , Arnold Schönberg , Pierre Boulez , Jonathan Harvey , Alban Berg , Bruno Mantovani and Marc-André Dalbavie . He also worked as a conductor a. a. with the Orchester National de Lille , the Radio Belgrade National Orchestra , the Durban's Philharmonic Orchestra , the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France , the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain , the Ensembles Court-Circuit and Alter-Ego and the Ensemble Recherche . Between 1987 and 1992 he produced the concerts-lectures series for Radio France , in which he performed and analyzed musical works from the Middle Ages to the present day.
