Laurenzo Lapage
Laurenzo Lapage (born April 14, 1966 in Opbrakel ) is a former Belgian cyclist and current sports director .
In 1987 Laurenzo Lapage finished second in the Belgian championship in the two-man team driving of the amateurs , together with Danny De Bie . The following year he became national champion in team pursuit with Gino Primo , Erwin Buysse and Gilbert Kaes . In 1995 he and Etienne De Wilde finished third in the European championship in two-man team driving and won the Silver Eagle of Cologne with Rik Van Slycke . Lapage started in a total of 68 six-day races ; best place was a third place at the six days of Grenoble 1997, together with Andrea Collinelli .
In 2002 Lapage ended his active cycling career. As a result, he became the sporting director of various teams, including the Discovery Channel and Rock Racing . In 2009 he moved to Team Astana . Since 2012 he has been with the newly formed Australian team GreenEdge Cycling Team .
