Laurie J. Marks

Laurie J. Marks (born March 27, 1957 in Orange County , California ) is an American author .

Life

Mark's parents are Cecil J. Marks and Claire Sharples. After finishing school, she studied at Brown University , where she graduated in 1980. Marks has taught at the University of Massachusetts in Boston for over 10 years . Already in her youth she wrote and published stories and books.

Marks lives with Deb Mensinger in California , where they bought a house in a rural area. They got married in Massachusetts in 2004 after 19 years of relationship .

Elemental logic

The Elemental Logic Series takes place in the fictional world of Shaftal. In this world, an army of the Sainnites has captured Shaftal 35 years before the main storyline and is trying to stamp out the magic that was used against them. For this purpose, all witches that were found were killed. But because magic is woven into the world of Shaftal, children are always born with magical abilities.
