Laurynas Algimantas Skūpas

Laurynas Algimantas Skūpas (born August 10, 1937 in Subačius , Kupiškis district ; † January 10, 2005 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian Romanist, Esperantist and polyglot .

Life

Skūpas graduated from the Pedagoginis institutas in Vilnius and from the Institute for Foreign Languages ​​in Moscow . In 1960 he worked in Šeduva with Radviliškis and from 1964 he taught French at the Vilniaus universitetas as a professor . From 1970 to 1980 he continued his education in Paris and at Moscow University . From 1992 to 1995 he taught Lithuanian at the Institute for Eastern Languages ​​in Paris.

He spoke Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Provencal , Turkish and Esperanto.
