Layna was a three-piece German Christian band consisting of Thea Eichholz , Bernd-Martin Müller and Ingo Beckmann.
history
The trio of the couple Thea Eichholz and Bernd-Martin Müller as well as Ingo Beckmann formed from the Thea Eichholz Band in 1996 to record their first album Not only when the sun shines . This was published by Gerth Medien in 1997 , produced by Hans-Werner Scharnowski . This was followed by concerts in Germany, Colaborations in projects such as friendship from Jochen Rieger and in 2000 a second album called Where else . The title song became the group's best-known success, which is featured in hymn books in many churches and parishes today. In 2002 Layna, in collaboration with artist friends such as Eberhard Rink , the girl group Sharona and the cabaret trio Die Mütter, released the concept album Gift: Songs for High Times and Other Times . In March 2003 the band performed on the Europe-wide broadcast evangelism ProChrist . In the following interview, Bernd-Martin Müller spoke about his pancreatic tumor, which he succumbed to in October of the same year. Layna has ceased to exist since then. Thea Eichholz is pursuing a solo career today and, like Ingo Beckmann, is still committed to the memory of Bernd-Martin Müller.
