Sharona was a music group from the field of Christian pop music .
Band history
The sisters Anna-Kristina "Tina" Pantli and Lisa Kriegeskotte founded Sharona together with their cousin Sara Lorenz in the spring of 1999. All three have direct relatives to the Rink family of musicians and gained stage experience in this context as children and adolescents.
In 2000 they released their first CD So Glad with Gerth Medien , which sold over 10,000 times. Above all, the title You alone , which found its way into the song book Celebrate Jesus , became known. Her Sharona Songbook , which was reissued in 2007 , was also published that year .
In 2001 Sharona received the Promikon Award as “Newcomer of the Year”.
In 2003, the follow-up album, Open My Eyes, was produced by the same publisher, and sales figures were as good as the first CD. Well-known musicians such as the two members of Mannheim's sons Florian Sitzmann and Ralf Gustke or Lothar Kosse took part in both albums . After Open My Eyes, Sharona paused for four years as the band members reoriented themselves privately and professionally. In September 2007 a "comeback tour" took place. Band member Sara Lorenz had previously released her first solo album, Overflowing , in March (also on “Gerth”). In March 2008, the band's third work, Hand In Hand , was released, this time with Jana Bernhardsgrütter, also sister of Tina and Lisa, as the fourth band member. In addition, they worked as interpreters in various productions of the Gerth Medien publishing house , on some Rolf Zuckowski records and in many children's radio plays.
With her Swiss concert tour, Sharona started a sound carrier gift campaign in April 2008 for women in emotional and economic need. The last tour took place in 2009 as an acoustic Christmas tour that took them to four German cities.
