Layne Flack (born May 18, 1969 in Rapid City , South Dakota ) is a professional American poker player who currently lives in Las Vegas . He is six-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker and once won the Main Event of the World Poker Tour .

Poker career

Career

Flack started playing cards with his grandparents. He deepened his knowledge of poker by working in a casino . After his job he went to other casinos to play himself. Despite his promotion to night manager , he quit to have more time to play poker. In Las Vegas , while playing, he met Johnny Chan who helped him improve his skills. He was also instructed in poker by Huck Seed . Flack had various successes at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the World Poker Tour . Six bracelets from the WSOP are among his most reputable successes. At the 2004 UltimateBet.Com Poker Classic , Flack took second place and earned his biggest single earnings of $ 500,000 . In 2004, Flack began using drugs. His friend Daniel Negreanu stepped in and paid him $ 80,000 for rehabilitation. Flack is now clean .

In total, Flack has earned more than $ 5 million in poker live tournaments. In his spare time, Flack enjoys listening to music and playing golf . He also delivered a perfect game of bowling by clearing 300 pins.
