The Lazarev Coast ( Norwegian Lazarevkysten ) is a 19 km long stretch of coast on the west side of Peter I Island in Antarctica. It extends from the west side of Cape Eva in the north to the mouth of the Zavodovskijbreen . There the Vostok coast connects to the east .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named her in 1974 after Mikhail Petrowitsch Lasarew (1788-1851), admiral of the Russian Navy and commander of the ship Mirny in the first Russian Antarctic expedition (1819-1821) under the direction of Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen .
