Lazzaro Uzielli (born February 4, 1861 in Florence , † October 8, 1943 in Bonn ) was an Italian pianist and music teacher .

Life

Lazzaro Uzielli studied in Florence with Luigi Vannuccini and Giuseppe Buonamici , with Ernst Rudorff in Berlin and Clara Schumann and Joachim Raff in Frankfurt . From 1883 to 1907 he worked as a teacher at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main and then followed a call to the Cologne Conservatory . In his long years as a teacher he had numerous students who became important pianists. He went on numerous concert tours through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands.
