Philipp Sonntag , birth name Eckart Aschauer (born December 18, 1941 in Bad Warmbrunn ) is a German actor , cabaret artist , screenwriter , author , director and visual artist .

life and career

Philipp Sonntag studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and completed an acting course. The list of his theater engagements ranges from Düsseldorf, Essen, Cologne, Bonn, Hamburg, Berlin, Constance to Nuremberg and Munich.

Sunday became known nationwide with the children's TV series Das feuerrote Spielmobil . As an actor he has so far appeared in over 50 film and television productions. Philipp Sonntag was awarded the German Cabaret Prize in 2004. From 2007 to 2012, Sonntag could be seen as Mayor Alois Pachmayer in the ARD -Telenovela Sturm der Liebe . From 2008 to 2017 Philipp Sonntag also played Adi Stadler on Lindenstrasse . In 2019 he was seen again in this role. He had guest appearances in the television series Munich 7 , Café perjury , SOKO 5113 , Tatort , Polizeiruf 110 , Der Komödienstadel , Melodies of the Mountains , Janitor Krause , Dahoam is Dahoam , Neues aus der Anstalt and Doctor's Diary .

In 2009 Sonntag published his first novel Heretic Music .

In parallel to his performing arts, Sonntag regularly exhibits paintings, drawings and objects.
