Le ruban moucheté ( English title: The Speckled Band , German title: The Speckled Band ) is a French feature film by Adrien Caillard from 1912 from the eight-part Franco-British Sherlock Holmes silent film series .

The silent film is an adaptation of the story The speckled band (The Adventure of the Speckled Band) from the book The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle ; it was produced by the Société Française des Films Éclair . The film was 518 meters long on two rolls and is now considered lost .
