Lea Bishop
Lea Bischof (born November 10, 1936 in Lucerne ; † February 1, 2007 there ) was a Swiss singer of hot jazz and swing and was known as the "Swiss Lady of Blues 'n' Swing".
Lea Bischof was “discovered” by Mani Planzer in 1962 and had her first appearance in the same year in the Matthäuskirche in Lucerne, where she performed gospel and spirituals . In the following years she performed at the Zurich Jazz Festival , where she was awarded first place in 1963, 1964 and 1967. In 1965 she had her first recordings with Chester's Tea Pot Combo .
